Review by Michael for Virus [1980] [DVD] Rating: I saw this movie svreeal times around fifteen years ago on American television, but now it has become one of those lost films which is never shown anymore. I was pleased to finally find “Virus” on DVD, and while the film is certainly no classic, it definitely deserves a better quality transfer than it has received here. The night scenes are unwatchable due to their darkness and “digital cubism” and the daylight scenes have that acid-trip streakiness of video that has been copied over again and again (…and yet again). Maybe with all of the “28 Days Later” buzz going around, someone will remember this rough gem and present it properly.
